Stake Your Claim

Stake Your Claim

Greetings,

Get this. We are surrounded by an infinite intelligence that responds to our thoughts, our feelings, and our emotions.

Believe it or not, this is how we create. As you have heard me say in the past, the simplified version of the stages of manifestation are seed, soil, and plant. Our thoughts are the seeds. The Divine Intelligence plays the role of the soil. Our experiences, the manifestations, the demonstrations in our lives, would be the plant.

Please know that you, yourself, or your Self, are more powerful than you can imagine. You, my beloved friend, are the creator of your experiences here on this Spiritual plane called Earth. No matter what the experience may be, you are the creator of that experience. This is the power that you have. This is the power that runs through you every moment of the day.

You are the way that Divine Intelligence, call It what works for you; you are the way that Divine Intelligence expresses Itself. Now, since you are the vehicle, the vessel, the instrument of life itself, you get to stake your claim on what you want to experience. Why not claim your good now. If you’re good is to become a musician, for example, stake your claim, follow the path of that desire, and then do whatever it takes to become a musician.

Remember, desire is the fire of motivation. It is the beginning of creation. In order for you to become a musician, or whatever is being called to be birthed through you, there must be a desire to be that. Once you are clear on your desire, stake your claim to be that.

This may be easier said than done. However, it is not impossible to receive and experience what you are claiming for yourself. It may take courage and work. Wait, that’s not quite right. It will take courage and persistence to bring your desire to fruition. The thing is, you must stake your claim first if you are to experience what you desire. Word of advice. As you move toward the fulfillment of your desire, watch out for the claim jumpers.

Be Aware of the Claim Jumper

One definition of claim jumper is “One who illegally occupies property to which another has a legal claim.” So, what do I mean by claim jumper? Thoughts of fear, doubt, and worry are just a few examples of claim jumpers. Let me give you an example. Using the example from above in becoming a musician. First, I tap into the desire to be a musician. Second, I stake the claim to be that, a musician. The claim jumpers that show up may look like self-doubt. “I will never be able to become a musician.” “I’m too old to start down that path.” “No one will want to hear me play or sing.” These thoughts are occupying the property to which you have, not only a legal claim but a divine claim. When these claim jumpers pop up in your awareness, you want to pay attention to them. Just don’t allow them to take up real estate in your consciousness. Watch your thoughts, feelings, and actions. Be aware of the thoughts you are thinking about or saying to yourself about becoming whatever it is you desire to be. Be aware of the feelings that come up around that. Then, watch for the actions you take. For example, instead of practicing, you watch TV, knowing that watching TV is not moving you toward the fulfillment of your desire. In fact, it is an action that takes you away from fulfilling that desire.

If there’s a thought of fear, that’s a claim jumper. If there’s a feeling of doubt, that’s a claim jumper. If there is the action of procrastination, which is another form of fear, yep, you guessed it, that’s a claim jumper. When you feel these emotions come up, you are now aware of the claim jumpers. Now that you are aware of these thieves, what do you do about them?

Some Tools

What, indeed, do you do about them? Great question. I’m glad you asked. There are a few tools available to you that you can start to use right now. One tool is the use of affirmations. Affirm what you want. In the case of being a musician, the affirmation could go like this: “I affirm that I am a great singer.” A shorter version of this could be, “I am a great singer. I am a successful musician.” Your affirmations are to be stated in the present tense, not the future. A future-tense affirmation sounds like this. “I will be a great singer.” When we futurize the affirmation we find that it takes longer to manifest because we are keeping it in the future; I will be. We want to affirm that it is being done right now! “I am a great singer, now.” Feel the difference? Try it for yourself. Think about what you want to experience in your life, it does not matter what it is. Now, affirm that it is done and that it is done now. Make this a daily practice. Every day affirm that you are what you desire to be. I can hear some of you saying. “Eugene, this is hogwash because the appearance is very different.” I get it. And this is why we are not to judge by the appearances. When we continue to operate from what we see, i.e., lack, limitation, etc., we will find ourselves experiencing the same old stuff. However, when we start to believe what we want to experience, trusting that it must be done as we believe, then what we are affirming will be our experience. (Refer to the post “Believing is Seeing.”) Affirm that you have all that you need to live a life of your choosing. Remember, you are the architect of your life.

Another tool is visualization. It amazes me how powerful we truly are. Do you realize that out of all of the creatures on the planet, we are the only species that has the ability to visualize? Just sayin. Anyway, visualize what you want to experience. Now, there is an important aspect to visualizing that is not talked about much, and that is the feeling tone behind or within what you are visualizing. See and feel yourself being, doing, and having what you are claiming for yourself. This step cannot be ignored. It’s important that what you are feeling is in alignment with what you are seeing. As Neville Goddard stated, “Feeling is the Key.”

Why is feeling so important? Because the Source of the creative process, (the Infinite Intelligence) goes by what we feel. I can say all day long that I am a great musician. However, if my feeling is that I am not, claim jumper, the Law is going to create for me what I believe, what I feel deep inside. It’s going to create what’s been running deep in my subconscious mind. Belief is usually connected to feelings more than thoughts. The more you affirm what you believe about yourself, that belief is transformed into feeling, and that feeling creates the experience. The affirmation could now sound and feel like this: “I know I am a great musician.” See yourself playing or singing on stage, wherever that stage may be. It could be a club, theater, coffee shop or bar. See and feel the audience giving you a “Standing O.” Though I am using being a musician as an example, these principles work across the board. Whatever you are called to be, see and feel yourself being, and doing it with great joy and success.

Another great tool is journaling. Journaling allows us to write down our ideas. It allows us to write down the claim jumpers we’ve identified and then to outline, if we choose, what we want to do about them. At the very least, journaling gives us the opportunity to get those thoughts out of our heads, instead of bouncing around like a pinball. Journal your desires. Write down your feelings about those desires. Journal your fears and how those fears may keep you from expressing your highest and best. Journal your game plan for dealing with said fears. Write down your vision. Write down your affirmations. All of this is important. Shucks, you may even want to write your affirmations on pieces of paper and place them in places around the house or in your car or office. This is nothing new and many of you may have heard about doing this and may be doing this now already. If you are not doing this, this is a great tool to start using today. Journaling allows you to have a conversation with your higher Self.

Acceptance

Acceptance is also key to staking and claiming your good. We can say we want this, that or the other, but are we willing to accept what we are claiming? Are we willing to accept our abundance? Are you willing to accept the love of your life? The answer to those questions might be yes. Only you know for sure. And, if there are doubts around that, cool. You get to affirm; “I accept my good now!” Accept everything about you and, who you are here to be, and Even though you may have made mistakes or wrong decisions, accept yourself totally and completely. Forgive yourself for decisions of the past that didn’t turn out well, and move forward. Know this. There are people waiting just for you. Accept that you are supported in ways you may not even know yet. Accept that what you are claiming for yourself is yours now.

In Conclusion

Stake your claim with confidence. Knowing that you are here on purpose, it is impossible for you to fail. Speak your word and accept your good. Affirm that you are living from your passion right now. You are the way that Life shows up, and it shows up in spectacular ways as you. Stake your claim. Stand in the knowing that what you are claiming is yours, and it is yours now. Basically, what I am saying is this. Name it and claim it. Now, go out and multiply this consciousness in joy and with grateful expectancy.

Peace and Blessings,

Eugene
